6th of July - Bday Party

Today is Mal's party. The morning starts off with a BANG! The pony people decide they aren't coming. It is like they have every excuse in this world not to show up. Thank goodness for quick thinking. I quickly look up party alternatives in the phone book and find one other pony person and a bounce house company. They bounce house co. calls us back first, so they get the grand prize of a gig at the last and for saving the day. I end up being "aunt for the year" LOL. It was a good day! Everyone had a bouncing, balloon making....ball.

5th of July .....the Zoo

So today we go to the Zoo. It is kinda different. Ok so let me start by saying, that we weren't sure what to expect and one thing for sure we didn't expect to end up soaking wet shortly after arriving there. This zoo is very natural and habitats for these animals are true to their natural surroundings. It was quaint and quiet. But in the end we all enjoyed ourselves and especially the girls when they were able to pet some of the animals.
p.s. sorry Rebecca for leaving you behind during that rain storm LOL

4th of July

What a way great day! We went out to a small festival and watched the girls feed and pet animals. It was fun to see them interact with the petting zoo and especially watching Mal on the giant slide. She had a great time! Later we went to base....2nd MarDiv. Wow it really took me back to the day when I was stationed there. The Leeann Womack concert was nice and the fireworks display was PHENOMINAL! It makes me greatful for the brave men and women we have to willingly protect our country and allow us this freedom so many take for granted.
So I made this small acrylic album to remember this day and even though it was my first acrylic project I think it turned out pretty good.

3rd of July

Today is my nieces bday and we had a very good day. First we went to the mall for her yearly picture and then we went to Chuck E Cheeses. Yes sometimes there were moments where she was a little frustrated but that is to be expected. It has probably been 10 years since I have been to see the big Chuck E, but it wasn't bad at all. The food is decent and the salad was very impressive. It was fun to see Mal so excited at all the games and music. I actually did well and played a game that won her lots of tickets.
Talked to the boys this morning. I miss them all but it is good to be away. Can't wait to see what is in store for the day of celebration of America's freedom.

Vacationing in North Carolina

So I am out in Jacksonville visiting my sister in law and my nieces. I love it! I was greeted with beautiful flowers at the baggage claim area and bright smiling faces. I am feeling good and right now I have no worries. Well sort of, I am a lil worried about how the hubby and my boys are doing at home without me. Today we went to lunch and did some shopping. Just a lil bit of getting reacquainted.

What day is this?

I have been completely out of it all week!!! I have been suffering from a deep depression and I finally feel a little more like myself today. I regret that I was not able to go to work, to the grocery store or even talk to anyone since last week. I just need to get past this and be back to my old self. One good thing about it is that it gave me some time to put together a few scrapbooking pages. I am finally half way through 2006. That is pretty good considering last year I started my goal on updating my books from the year I first met Johnny (1988). This is my favorite one.

The coolest project I have done...

I made these for my sisters in law on Mother's Day. I really enjoyed doing it. I bought a photo cube, added the pictures inside and decorated the outside of it. Love it!!!

Loving today!

Hi. The weather is beautiful today. My boys are working and keeping up with their schedules. I love my doggie and most of all my dear sweet wonderful husband. He makes every day better for me. We have known each other for 20 years and it never gets old. Our relationship is constantly enriched. I love you honey! And I love that he genuinely appreciates my craziness about scrapbooking and making cards. His support means alot to this craft being a huge part of my life.
