Christmas card 2009

This is my Christmas Card for this year. I decided to pick some non-traditional colors for my design. I heat embossed "seasons greetings" and bought all my patterned paper at one of my favorite LSBS in Hurst, TX - Anthologies. It really didn't take me long to make these. I used the fill page feature on my Cricut Expression for the tags.

I made this for a baby girl's shower gift. I was told her room is decorated in hot pink and zebra print. So I thought I would make something personal. It was pretty simple to do. I just took a plain canvas, painted it then decorated it with my scrapbooking embellishments. Cut out the baby's name using my cricut. I then attached ribbon to the top part of it so that it could be hung on her wall.

I made this birthday card for my sister this year. She loves horses and loves being a cowgirl!!

I made these cocoa holders as christmas cards for my co-workers. I really enjoyed making them.

Birthday Invite

So I had the honor of making my best friend's surprise birthday invitations. I really enjoyed making them and after the party when she saw one, she was very happy with it.

Oh wow!!! sorry it has been so long since I have updated my blog. Lots going on. Moved, got a new job, a new car and getting ready to move in to a new place. But I have done some scrapbooking and I am getting ready to work on a baby shower. I am excited about it!!! I have made several birthday cards for my new co-workers. I am loving my job!!!! Soon my nephew will be getting married and that is exciting too! So I hope to update more often with pictures.

Passed Out!!

Ok so how does this happen? I was at the Dr.'s office today and things are good so far. I need to wait on some results to come back but nothing should be too bad. However, I just had my blood drawn. I watched, yea it hurt a bit, and then she put a band aid on it. The next thing I know I had 4 nurses and my Dr. in front of me trying to wake me up. I had PASSED OUT! This hadn't happened to me in a long time, like 18 years. I am NOT afraid of needles! What the heck is wrong? Oh well I hope it doesn't happen again.

Retreat @ Stolen Moments

I was at retreat this last weekend. I arrived there on Thursday afternoon and didn't leave the B&B until yesterday afternoon. I can't remember when I laughed at hard as I did this weekend. It was such a good time!!! Of course, this time I decided I wasn't going to power crop and just enjoy my time there with my friends. So I only completed 13 pages....but it's ok. I got lots of rest and relaxation. Stolen Moments Inn is in Maypearl, TX and it has been the best place for us to have a scrapbooking retreat. We truly love this B&B. It is perfect for our needs and the price is right too! I will post pics of some of my fav layouts later. Have a great day!!!

My BFF Andrea and I decorated her grandchildren's Easter bags last night. We had so much fun. TFL

One more week!!!

Yayyy!!! Only one more week til retreat. I am so excited now I just need to preplan lots of pages. I love that I will be able to spend the whole weekend with my wonderful friends. We will primarily stay in our pjs and crop the time away oh and of course laugh and cry cuz we are laughing so hard.

RETREAT!!!

Only 17 days til retreat!!! I can hardly wait.....to get some pages done. I did a few pages the other night but I know I will really get lots done at retreat. Not to mention, the great time I will have with my best girlfriends. I love that we all work so well together. Everyone have a great week!!!

Easter Buckets

I was so excited when I made the Easter buckets for my nieces that I sent them to NC without taking a picture of them first. So I asked my SIL to send me a picture of them so that I could post them. I really hope they enjoy them

Feb 27th Crop

I had lots of fun at the crop with my friend Shelly. Brenda and Rhonda were also there ( we have been to retreats together). I actually didn't do any layouts, instead I made cards for a Marine from the TWS website that I belong to. I made a few designs but I am only posting this one.

Feeling so loved!

I have made it to my destination! YAYYYY!!! And the most important thing I need to say is that I love my true friends. They are so wonderful! I am lucky to have such special people in my life. I truly missed them.

So I am in the middle of a transition and I hate that all my scrapbooking supplies are packed up. I have really been needing a creative fix! I didn't realize how much I would miss it. I hope to be settled soon so that I can start creating again.
