I am addicted to accordion flowers!

I am completely addicted to making these flowers!!! I just can’t stop!! LOL I really am having a fun time with these and this is the beginning of my Valentine’s Day banner.  I can’t wait to show the finished product.  I am so grateful to the this tutorial I found here Kelly Lunceford has some great instructions for these flower on her blog.

Accordion flower…

I finally did it!  I made an accordion flower.  It was fun I think I am hooked!  I will for sure make a Love banner for Valentine’s Day and use a few of these.  I can’t wait to make the banner and post a pic of it.  I apologize for the quality of this picture.  My lighting sux in my crop area for picture taking…I get too many shadows.

Birthday card

SDC10606

I am trying to plan ahead and make my birthday cards at least a month in advance.  So I started by making this one for a someone special that has a birthday next month.  The print is from K & Company teal floral & letter flat paper, I also used Stampin’ Up Gentler Times stamp.  The ribbon and solid paper is just some extras I had from a while back.

My journal cover

I decided to start a journal and decorate the cover of it.  I love my honey so much that of course the cover would have a picture of us in our earlier years.  I remember this evening quite well.  We were at his co-worker’s for a dinner party in a southwest suburb of Chicago.  We have had some great times!  I think this puts me in the mood to start designing my Valentine’s day cards.  ♥ Oh yea..I almost forgot....I did make the flowers.  It was very cool.  It took a lil time to figure out the right size for the accordian flowers and then I added some spiral rolled flowers that I made.  All the paper is from a precut sheet from Little Yellow Bicycle "love letters" mini album and fold-up folio that I bought a while back.

Beach picture book

A couple of years ago I went to visit my sister in law and nieces in North Carolina.  I bought this mini book for some of our pictures at the beach.  I am finally done with it!  It was fun to work on but I really needed some motivation to get it done.

So I made another card.  I really like this one and I may make some more.  I used the liquid applique that I have had like forever and it was fun to finally use it.  On the inside a used a Merry Christmas stamp and added a smaller snowflake.

Christmas card #2

So here is card #2…I made it cuz I just wanted to do something different from the other card I was making.  I think I am going to make a third card.  By the way did I mention that I love the Stampin’ Up Smooch Spritz?  I love it!  I am not sure if you can tell from this picture but I used it on the snowflake.  I even used some stickles on the mittens.

Paper rolled flowers

These are the paper rolled flowers I made a few days ago.  I am so addicted to them now.  Too bad I have 3 sons and rarely get to use flowers.

So I edited the picture a bit but I don’t know how well it looks.   I stamped embossed the snowflakes in white, used some Stampin’ Up Smooch Spritz and a Christmas Stamp that I bought at Micheals.

and yet another Christmas card....

I made 20 cards then my dear husband informs me that he needs a few more cards.  So I put together a new card and made a few of them.  I am not able to post pics right now.  My PC is down but I hope to get it up and running soon so that I can add some pics.  I am so happy to have a few days to do some creating.

Feeling accomplished

I finally finished my Christmas cards!  I will post a pic next week sometime.  I took a few pics but I don't care for the lighting.  So I will need to take a few more.  I am so ready for my holiday break and I hope to get more accomplished during my break.  I really want to get my sons scrapbooks finished and then work on upcoming birthday cards and Valentine's Day cards.  But only time will tell.  ♥

birthday card

Here is another birthday card I made for another co-worker. Yes, there are quite a few birthdays this month. LOL!! So I welded a tiara and a scroll together, but I actually used the same scroll on both sides, I just flipped one over to get it to the other side. I then adhered it to a shimmery paper, that I also cut with my cricut. Then I embellished it with purple bling, pearls and a tear drop epoxy. I then added ribbon, flowers and a bow to make it femine. These are my friends fav colors so I really wanted to incorporate them into the card. If you want any hints on how to flip and weld, drop me a line and I will be glad to help you. Oh yea I used my Gypsy! Love it!!!

birthday card

I made this birthday card for a co-worker. I used the shadow feature on the cricut and used a pop dot to give it dimension. I really enjoyed making this card and using my kitchen cricut cartridge. I put a black pearl embellishment at the center of each scallop. The celebrate is a rub on.

Sympathy Card

I made this card for a friend. I really didn't have any idea what I was going to do. But I remembered some of the things she loves and her fav colors. I used coredinations paper, an angel wings print and a solid gray. I used a stampin up "thinking of you" stamp and embossed it in black.

My accomplishments this weekend:

So I organized all the photos I have taken up until New Years in my memory book. Now I just have to decide what photos to develop. It looks like I am missing some pictures from 2007 and 2008. My goal before retreat is to get those pictures developed and preplanned. Then I can crop them at retreat. I will then be almost caught up. I will then work on my boys' scrapbooks and update them. I do have alot of 2008 already cropped and some of 2009. I completely love my Gypsy!!! It is great to preplan the titles and some embellies and then cut them later. I have also preplanned about 25 pages. I hope to get about another 25 preplanned and have a goal of 50 to crop at retreat. I love my hobby!!!!
